Tendonitis does not usually require surgery. However, if you develop symptoms of a tear
to your tendon, your physician may recommend surgery . There are other circumstances where
surgery may be needed. Listed below are some of the situations where this may be
true.
Conditions where Tendonitis may require surgery.
- Tear or rupture in a tendon.
- A bone spur or bone chip irritating a tendon
- Bones putting pressure on a tendon.
- Calcium deposits on tendons.
