Tendonitis does not usually require surgery. However, if you develop symptoms of a tear to your tendon, your physician may recommend surgery . There are other circumstances where surgery may be needed.  Listed below are some of the situations where this may be true.

  • A bone spur or bone chip irritating a tendon
  • Bones putting pressure on a tendon.
